Pottery Barn recalls Gourd Candles for fire hazard.
“WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Description: This recall involves five styles of individual gourd-shaped candles and a set of eight mini-gourd candles. The style number for the candles can be found on the price ticket, receipt or shipping invoice.
Manufactured in: Vietnam.” Ah ha, now I get it.
I had my suspicions that candles were a fire hazard. Now it’s confirmed.
Toy phones recalled for choking hazard.
Just in time for Christmas is yet another toy recall. This comes at a time when people are very busy and resort to multitasking. It involves eating, drinking, applying makeup, smoking, wrapping presents and talking into their cell phones while driving. While I am almost positive that they are not using toy phones, this should come as a warning. Hang up your phone and drive. If you are using this toy, please don’t choke and wreck into me. Thank you.
Pool toys recalled due to risk of impalement.
The title pretty much says it all. But here is more useful information anyways.
“When partially filled with water, the pool toy can stand upright on the pool floor with the rigid narrow end pointed upward, posing an impalement risk. Wild Planet has received one report of an impalement injury to an 8-year-old girl who landed seat first onto a Jet Streamer left in a swimming pool and received a puncture wound.” Ouch! That’s a little too much information.
