My best friend of 20+ years told me the other night that out of all of our friends, he thought I would be the one to go insane. Well it’s not like I am forcing it or anything, but this album may certainly be adding to my dementia. This is all over the place style wise and the beats are hardcore. Passive-agressive noise on overdrive, my favorite. The title is starting to make sense. I totally recommend this CD and cannot believe it’s free. I guess the best things in life are.

Brickshelf – Lego Archive

Brickshelf.com is one the largest archives of anything I’ve ever seen. What it would take to put this together is beyond me. If you read my other posts, you’ll notice my short attention span. Anyways, there are lots of submissions ranging from store bought sets to created masterpieces. There are 1,560,655 files to date which would probably amount to 17 billion Legos. Yes, I counted.

Reversi or Othello game.

I don’t know what to call it Reversi or Othello. All I do know is that I lose tons of precious sleep over this game. The instruction are clearly laid out below the game board and the winner ends up with the most tiles in their color. Hint: Don’t give up the corners.

I’m having a lot of fun with these. The directions are very easy to follow and offer quite a few options. The Simpson’s sign generator is located here.

Falling Sand Game.

This very addictive game just ate four hours of my day. It’s that good. It is more of an Earth simulator than a game, with elements falling from the sky. I just started creating without even bothering to read any guide. I was able to figure a few things out though. There is a wall tool that you can use to trap or direct the elements. Plant life, fire and cera(?) can be added manually. There is also a bouncing blob that I turned off. I don’t know it is supposed to do. I think I enjoyed this more because I didn’t know what was really going on. Check the message boards if you dare. Here and here. Be sure to send me your designs. I just added some hints from my hours of play. Time for bed.

This sign generator is too cool. Now I know I’m going to hell. Is hell capitalized? I want to be very careful here. This site gives you the option of posting on five signs and provides very easy to follow directions. Check my earlier post on how to capture your new sacrilegious logo here. This is a great concert at the top of their careers, not the best recording though.  The mix seems to get lost in the audience at times, but there is enough sound to make this worth a listen or download. This show was played right around the release of the EP Widowermaker which was a great album. There is also a tarck or two from the upcoming album Piouhgd, which was kind of a letdown for me at the time. There are better sounding shows, but rarely a set this good.

Butthole Surfers on Guitar Hero 2.

Yes it’s true, the Butthole Surfers on a popular childrens video game. I know this track made it onto MTV a million years ago, but that was a generation or two away. Now a whole new crop of kids will have exposure to the power of the Surfers. Activision choose the perfect track also – “Who Was In My Room Last Night”. I can’t tell you how many broken air guitars I’ve gone through to this song. Now I can break a real plastic guitar. Maybe they will acquire the fame and money they deserve. Oh, and the game is cool too.
